One of the key objectives of the ICSEMIS is the promotion of junior scientists and the fostering of state-of-the-art research. Accordingly, the Young Investigators Award, hosted by the ICSEMIS Convention, will recognise young leaders in research.

Eligibility
Applicants must be under the age of 32 at the time of the congress (born after 23rd July 1980).  Applicants must be a PhD student or equivalent or be less than 2 years post PhD graduation (ie graduated from PhD after 23^rd July 2010). Only one paper can be submitted for participation in the YIA per first author.
