Early Career Researchers

The ICSEMIS 2012 organising committee is mindful of the need to support Early Career Researchers (ECR’s), and is paying particular attention to ways in which we can offer a provision within the convention programme to support the development of this group. We are conscious of the need for opportunities that recognise the stage of transition that some delegates maybe experiencing; whether moving into research from previous taught studies, or wholly changing their career.

It has been assumed that delegates who are currently undertaking doctoral level research, or have completed their doctoral training within the previous five years, will be the largest of such a group. We are also cognisant to the fact that researchers who meet such criteria can be any age. As such, we are inviting delegates to self-define as ECRs, if interested in being contacted (both prior to and during the convention) in regards to a range of initiatives and activities.

Delegates can indicate whether they see themselves as an Early Career Researcher when registering for the conference.
